  1. Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, " Talkin' New York " and " Song to Woody ".

New Morning has been haunting me ever since I bought newsnesouthvadutosrobovacoparo.coinfo must be Dylans most stylistically varied album ever (possibly topped by Love and Theft), but I still cant decide whether it belongs in the weak category together with Self Portrait, or if it is a glorious testimony to the sprezzatura that only Dylan can handle without collapsing completely.

May 20,  · Bob was to be able to go for great lengths of time without releasing an album, with no word, just rumors that seemed to be forever swirling around in the air, but nothing substantial, no real facts. Then from out of the blue, only four months after his release “Self Portrait” he ushered in “New Morning.”4/5().

Includes hit single "If Not for You" and "The Man In Me," featured in the film "The Big Lebowski" Winner of a Gruvy Award, chosen by AnalogPlanet's editor, Michael Fremer, for vinyl records that are musically and sonically outstanding and are also well mastered and pressed.

  7. Put simply, New Morning is a superb album. It is everything that every Dylan fan prayed for after Self Portrait. The portrait on the cover peers out boldly, just daring you to find fault with it.

  8. Jul 03,  · The hosting website apparently pulled the pics I had posted here, so FYI: The $ LP was Blowin' In The Wind by the Chad Mitchell Trio. Back to the New Morning LP: Last night I listened to the entire album again on vinyl, something I haven't done in a long time. It sounded great -- so much better than the first CD issue, although a little thinner than the remaster.
